Outdoors
At Turncroft Nursery School we love the outdoors! We go outside in all weathers, so please come prepared. We have a lovely, large outdoor space where we love exploring and learning.
We believe that outdoor learning is an essential part of early childhood development. Guided by the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, we provide children with exciting and enriching experiences in nature that support their learning across all areas of development.
Outdoor environments offer unique opportunities for children to explore, investigate, and interact with the world around them. From developing physical skills through climbing and running, to fostering curiosity through sensory experiences, outdoor learning encourages creativity, problem-solving, and social skills.
We create a safe, stimulating space where children are free to take risks, make decisions, and build resilience in a natural setting. By connecting with nature, children not only gain confidence but also develop a deeper understanding of the environment and their place within it. Our outdoor learning approach is carefully designed to complement indoor activities, ensuring a balanced, well-rounded educational experience that prepares children for their future learning journey.
